Victoria's Secret is one of the most popular American brands world wide. It's distinctive lingerie, beauty products, and women's wear is what categorizes Victoria's Secret as one of the most glamourous leading brands.
The thing that distinguishes Victoria's Secret from other lingerie brands is their packaging. Their stripped bags with silk handles is one of the landmarks of Victoria's Secret. Anyone can see it from a mile away and rapidily acknowledge that the package is from Victoria's Secret.
As a matter of fact, their packaging selection is very good. If you take a closer to look to their products, you'll quickly notice that most of the things include patterns, glitter, and glamourous designs, so keeping the packaging simple not only creates unity with the rest products, but it's also not overwhelming.
The color selection is very good as well. Pink has always been related to girls, as they say, "it's a girly color" and selecting this color for their bags is very thoughtful because that's basically what the whole store is about, a femanen collection. Keeping in mind that their main audience are females, a glossy bag and silky handle makes a great connection. Majority of women like pink, shiny products, and fancy like cloths, so combining all these not only fits in the taste of their audience but it also fits in their philosophy, "Go luxe. Be gorgeous. Be glamourous."
My suggestion is to increase the font on the bag, although the bag makes it clear where product is from, it would be a good idea to make it a little bigger. Changing the color of the font would be a good improvement as well. The gold color on the font combines very well with what they are trying to promote, but it's a bit difficult to see. Maybe adding a darker value or making the font matte would help the viewers read it easily. The stripes are a little wide as well, decreasing the width would not only make the font more legible, but it would also effisize the name greatly. It's a very nice bag, but these simple solutions could be effective.
